For Day Three of ChevyUnivTour, the word of the day would have to be OnStar. This was a pure driving day. We left Clemson at about 11am headed to Washington, DC. The drive was completely torturous, but would have been much worse, had we not had OnStar. The service gives you both driving directions and driving time. The screen also shows a map of the road that you’re on, along with the direction that you will turn next and the distance to that turn. It was absolutely awesome! They call it Turn by Turn Navigation. It kept me on track and I didn’t have to keep answering the “Are we there yet?” questions, because the map was visible to everyone!
The drive took about 10 hours or so, including stops. The kids watched movies on the Tahoe’s DVD entertainment center and Dad grooved with XM radio. Day 3 may have been one of our best traveling days.
