When my friend, Jen, called to tell me that I HAD to see the new Santa Maria Novella boutique in Bal Harbour Shops, I was less than thrilled. An apothecary. Whoopie! <dry cough> However, Jen insisted and I’m so glad that she did. I fell in absolute LOVE with Santa Maria Novella’s products. The Healing Hand Creme is the hands down, best ever hand cream that I’ve ever used. I used to swear by Borghese’s Mani Splendide, but I promise you–SMN has my business forever.
Besides that, the principals of the parent company, LAFCO, were charming. In fact, the grand opening was held the same day as the first day of Miami Fashion Week. I promised Jen that I would come by during the day, but I wouldn’t be able to make the cocktail party. But once I got there, I was so taken with the Jon Bresler, LAFCO’s founder and Vincent LaRouche, LAFCO’s creative director, that I actually missed Fashion Week’s grand opening to go to SMN twice in one day.
