Last night, a group of local businesses pooled their resources in an effort to bring in business for all of them. The resulting was an amazing soiree! Chef of Distinction partnered with Gallery 101, Premier Event Staffing, Event Outfitters and Over the Top, Inc to show key influencers their work.
What a night! The venue was fabulous, with art providing a backdrop for grand entertainment, great food, and fine spirits. Many of the artists were on hand, as well, to answer questions about their work. They have paintings, photography, sculptures, and more. It’s right near the corner of Federal Highway and Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, but they are moving to FAT Village Arts District in the next few weeks. Look for more information on that soon. The owner, Adam White, is quite a gentleman, hailing from Alabama. He has the cutest Southern drawl.
And how could you possibly go wrong with a menu that included things like:
- smoked salmon parfait layered with cucumber and dill, garnished with caviar
- goat cheese dumpling with braised lamb and mint dressing
- lobster salad on watermelon with aged balsamic
- white chocolate cream cheese filled canolis
And there was so much more! The attendees were a great group as well. I saw old friends and made many new friends, as well. Of course, you’ll read all about them in the next few weeks.
I proclaiim the event a huge success and Chef Judith is my new BFF! I ALWAYS have room on my friend list for someone who can cook like that! If you’re having a function, book her! In fact, I would HIGHLY recommend any of these companies. THEY ROCK!
