Everyone knows that I have a special place in my heart for Dunkin’ Donuts. First off, they were one of my sponsors for ChevyUnivTour. Second off, I’m the Foursquare mayor of 2 local DDs. Third off, I like donuts! Anyhow, in case you didn’t know–today is National Donut Day and in honor of such a glorious holiday, Dunkin’ Donuts is making our lives a bit sweeter with a special nationside offer of a free donut of their choice, with the purchase of any beverage. I haven’t had mine yet, as I plan to go after dinner, but I know exactly which one I will get–the blueberry cake donut. So, head on over to your local Dunkin’ Donuts–it’s an American classic.
Also, special shoutout to Rachel Lianes of Miami, who was one of the 12 finalists in Dunkin’ Donuts’ “Create Dunkin’s Next Donut Contest.” Her creation was called the Mango Fandango. It was a berry mango-filled glazed donut, topped with pink and orange sprinkles. Though she didn’t win the top prize, she did win $1200 and a year’s supply of donuts. She also got to travel to Dunkin’ Donuts University in Braintree, Massachusetts for a bake-off. Jewel loves ya, Rachel!
