The 25th Annual National Philanthropy Day was held last week at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Miami. This event brings together philanthropists, volunteers and not-for-profit professionals to celebrate the selfless acts of generosity and kindness of these individuals who help to make our community a better place to live in. It also gives special recognition and awards to people and companies that are outstanding in their service, leadership and commitment to giving and helping the less fortunate.
The honorees this year were: Trish and Dan Bell Outstanding Philanthropists; Dolores and Sanford Ziff AFP’s Lifetime Achievment Award; Comcast Julia Tuttle Award Corporate Citizenship; Julie Grimes James W. McLamore Outstanding Volunteer and The Moyer Foundation Outstanding Grant Maker Award.
