Miami Heat players Carlos Arroyo and Udonis Haslem appeared recently at Macy’s Dadeland, both sporting black Cubavera shirts made by local clothing company, Perry Ellis International. The Heat Dancers were there too–to entertain the crowd of 300 fans that showed up to meet and greet the players. The first 100 folks that made a purchase of $50+ got a basketball autographed by both players.
The Cubavera line launched in 2000, having evolved from a brand started in the 60s. While the signature item is a guayabera shirt, it now includes pieces for the entire family–including women and children. It’s available at better department stores and boutiques. There’s even a Cubavera store in Miami International Airport!
