Just yesterday, I received the itinerary for my upcoming press trip to Cancun, Mexico. I was thrilled to see that the Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau has booked me into the Ritz Carlton there. You see, I LOVE the Ritz Carlton brand. It is my favorite hotel brand. PERIOD. And,the fact that they have such a high standard of service, only adds to my enchantment with them. I’m so looking forward to seeing all that the Ritz in Cancun has to offer. Looking at the picture of the pool area, I’m already positive that I may just fall in love with it and never want to return home. So yesterday, while I was looking up everything Ritz Carlton Cancun, I got ANOTHER email.
This one from one of my BEST besties, the South Florida Area Director of Public Relations for Ritz Carlton. How great was her timing? She wanted to tell me about The Ritz Carlton’s new Foursquare program. For those who don’t know, Foursquare is a location-based program for mobile devices, where you “check in” in different spots, in hopes of becoming the Mayor and/or receiving special deals. Check-ins award the user points, and even badges.
Well, Ritz Carlton has taken it a step farther, calling the new program World Concierge. It will give tips from the actual concierges at all 75 Ritz Carlton Hotels around the world. These tips WILL not be about the Soup of the Day or some great deal that the Ritz is doing, but rather hundreds and tips and insights about local destinations. I can’t wait to see how it works! To receive the tips as they go live, you can follow Ritz Carlton on Foursquare, by clicking here.
And, just for giggles, check out this Cancun promo video, that shows all that the area has to offer!
Disclosure: This press trip is sponsored by the Cancun Convention & Visitors Bureau and AeroMexico. They will cover my travel, lodging and meals. All opinions are my own.
