Summer Crush Games Coming to Miami!

Have you heard about the Summer Crush Games? It’s Miami’s largest Crossfit Competition. So, what’s Crossfit? Crossfit is a strength and conditioning program that combines weightlifting, sprinting, gymnastics, powerlifting, kettlebell training, plyometrics, rowing, and medicine ball training. WHEW! I’m tired just typing all of that!

Anywho, the Summer Crush Games will take place on Sunday, August 28th, at The Magic City Casino. Nearly 300 of America’s top athletes will compete in a day-long battle, testing their physical and mental toughness. Winners of each division will receive gift packages valued at $1,000 from Reebok, among other gifts from key sponsors.

The Summer Crush Games is the biggest event to hit South Florida’s CrossFit community. Our intention is to bring a legitimate, major CrossFit competition to the local area for a day of health, sport, community, and family fun. –Mike Osuna, Summer Crush Games founder

Athletes interested in competing are encouraged to attend the event in the case last minute spots become available. Registered participants will test their skill and capacity in three workouts, competing in one of five divisions.

Admission is completely FREE for the whole family. Events will start at 7:30am and continue through 7:00pm. Magic City provides the perfect venue for a fun filled day. Food, music, slot machines, poker, vendors, and the Miami Food Trucks including CheeseMe Mobile, The Flying Saucer Pork Shop and Koni Ice will be on hand. The 7,000 seat covered grandstand and air-conditioned club house will allow the viewing public to stay cool all day long.

By the way, I would tell you that I was going to be there, except I’ll be returning from Jamaica that day, and preparing to leave for Cancun the following day. It’s a tough life, being Jewel. LOL
