Philanthropist and cast member of Real Housewives of Miami, Lea Black, hosted a FAB lunch for bloggers last week at the trendy, Italian hotspot, fratelli Lyon in the Design District. She wanted to introduce us to her skincare line, Sudden Youth.
Sudden Youth was formulated by Lea, with the help of a chemist and a consulting doctor. It utilizes the popular apple stem cell technologies that promote skin rejuvenation at the cellular level.
Between the antipasti and my amazing paccheri dish, I volunteered to have a facial, using Sudden Youth. A paste of all natural, botanical concentrates were brushed onto one side of my face. I wasn’t allowed to talk. As the mixture hardened, I could feel it pulsating and tightening on my skin. After about 20 minutes, I washed it off and the difference was quite noticeable. There was a visible “lift” around my eyes and cheekbones. The affected skin was remarkably “bright” and softer than the other side. Although I only used one item of the line, I was very impressed with the results.
There’s also a 30 day Cleanse Program included with the skin care kit. I found this part very interesting–you actually start a journal on Day 1 that you use to keep a record of self evaluation. You also make a pledge to purge toxic things and negative forces out of your life. Each day, you complete a daily task to help you become your best self. Some examples of the tasks are:
- Day 7-Do something that you would normally not make time for–like go out to your fave restaurant or take a walk.
- Day 15-Reflect on family, everything good and bad. Take the first step in resolving family conflicts.
- Day 25-Give thanks. Call and thank all the people who are important to you and contribute to your everyday life.
And, very impressed with Lea. She was absolutely delightful. She looked absolutely amazing and spent the afternoon getting to know each of us. When asked about her annual fundraiser, she lit up. The Blacks’ Annual Gala, hosted by Lea and her famed attorney husband, Roy, is now in it’s 17th year. It aids and supports disadvantaged youth. It’s one of the most talked about events in South Florida. She puts its together, with a small staff and raises huge amounts of money. This year’s gala raked in $750,000.
