Famed shoe designers and South Florida couple, Lisa and Donald Pliner, spent last Saturday afternoon at the Donald J Pliner Concept store in Aventura Mall. They do these appearances from time to time and whenever I’m in town, I stop through. I was REALLY excited for this particular appearance because my bestie, Zippy Sandler of Champagne Living, had never met the Pliners. I met her there.
As always, Lisa looked FAB. She showed me some of her Fall collection and actually talked Zip into trying some of them on. She even showed me some promo pics from her Spring collection that’s in production now. One word–HOT!!! She’s promised to allow me to be one of the first to publish them, once they are available to the masses. My boyfriend, Donald, was his usual congenial self. He mingled with all the customers.
The shoes on display left me DROOLING! I LOVE the beaded collection and I’m also very happy about the appearance of the kitten heels. Lisa’s collection is completely amazing. The boots, inspired by her daughter’s ice skates, the green suede thigh highs, the flat booties–in complete love with them all!
There were also light bites available, as well as special cocktails. Fun was had by all!
