Recently, BJ’s Wholesale Club invited a few bloggers in for a special holiday event at their West Kendall store. Lucky for me, I was invited to join the group. I was eager to see what they had planned for the holidays because I REALLY like the warehouse clubs. I will gladly shop in a no-frills setting in exchange for significantly lower pricing than that of supermarkets and department stores.
Anyway, the day started with an overview of BJ’s and a tour of the store. We started in the Electronics department where I spotted some cool gadgets that I would love for Santa to drop off for me. We also checked out the Jewelry department. I never really think of BJ’s for jewelry, but I was quite impressed with their Lauren Taylor Collection.
One of the BEST things to scoop up for the holidays are the gift baskets and sets. If you still have gifts to buy, you should DEF head over there. There’s such a variety-something for everyone, all packaged really nicely, so wrapping should be minimal. I saw everything from Starbucks gift baskets that included coffee, hot chocolate, teas and mugs ($29.99) to Gingerbread House kits ($10.99). There were also appliances, like a mini donut maker for $29.99 to a Keurig single serve brewer for $129.99. There were even pet gifts available.
After the tour, we moved on to the FAB lunch that BJ’s had planned for us. Everything served was straight from the club. The table scape was simply gorgeous. My favorite thing on the menu were Buffalo Chicken meatballs. I think I ate a million of them.
Now, BJ’s operates by membership. But, if you act fast, you can snag a FREE 60 day membership with FULL member benefits–won’t cost you a dime. Simply print the offer from BJ’s Facebook page and activate the membership by December 31st.
