Home for the Holidays

For me, Christmas time is family time. Doesn’t matter what’s under the tree, my joy comes from just being with the family–sitting around chatting, arguing, eating, cracking jokes, and just being with each other.

Even though we put the FUN in dysFUNctional, I still love and appreciate each and every one of my family members. I miss the cold weather games of football that we used to play yearly. I miss the games and the special dishes that different family cooks are known for. And, I especially miss those family members who are no longer with us. Hopefully, they are smiling down upon us.

I don’t think I fully appreciated my family until I moved so far away from them. It certainly brings new meaning to the phrase-”home for the holidays”
