With my own just NINE days away (HINT! HINT!), I’m pleased to wish Pepperidge Farm a Happy Birthday! It was actually 75 years ago last month that the first loaf of Pepperidge Farm bread was sold–for 25 cents! And they’ve been an American Institution ever since. So, in celebration of their anniversary, they sent me a 75th Anniversary Pack. It was lovely–well, the parts that I actually got to taste were lovely, since my family devoured most of it!
Here’s what I got and here are my thoughts.
I absolutely loved these crunchy snack crackers. They have bold flavors like Goldfish, but in more adult flavor combinations. The zesty Lime & Sweet Chili flavor was my favorite. I added a schmear of cream cheese to the smoky Fiesta Cheddar flavor and ate my way through The Hunger Games dvd. *Slapping my own hand*
Milano Slices and Milano Melts
While I am quite familiar with Milano cookies, I had never tried the new variations–Milano Slices and Milano Melts. The slices are open faced versions of the original with a layer of chocolate and then a topping. I received the salted pretzel topped slices and they were extra tasty. The melts have a creme filling. The Hubs loved them–for me they were just okay.
Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish crackers were originally made and marketed in Switzerland as “Goldfish Tiny Crackers” before being brought to America in 1962. The first flavors introduced stateside were Lightly Salted (Original), Cheese, Barbecue, Pizza, and Smoky. These familiar snacks were a huge hit in my house.
Thanks so much to Pepperidge Farm for the goodies!
