Full Moon Parties at the Ritz Carlton South Beach

IMG_2090 F

My besties over at the Ritz Carlton South Beach have been hosting the wildly popular Full Moon Parties for some time now.  Now, they’ve changed the game a bit and put some extra flavor in the parties.  From now until May 2012, they will be hosting Legends of the Full Moon Parties. Each will showcase a different myth/legend.  The theme will then carry out through unique entertainment, light bites, specialty cocktails and more.

The series kicks off next Saturday night, October 15th, with a night celebrating Chang’e Chinese Goddess of the Moon.  The legend of her life will be recanted.  The Asian inspired $10 light bites menu will include  Kumomoto Oysters, Korean Style Grilled Short Ribs and Grilled Shrimp prepared on Robata Grills by new Chef de Cuisine Andrew Balick.  Cocktails inspired by the Far East include $12 specialty Lychee Lotus and Thai One On cocktails.  Along with Chinese dancers, the DJ will provide lounge music infused with Asian beats.

Moon gazing is not only encouraged, but the Dilido Beach Club, where the parties are held, are outfitted with enormous, high tech telescopes.  For the Full Moon series, there are no velvet ropes or cover charge.  $10 valet parking available.  PARTY!! PARTY!!

2011 dates: 10/15, 11/11, 12/9

  1. Let me know if you want company and I’ll stay at my brother’s house one of those nights. It looks like great fun.
