Miami Heat Star to Auction Home

Are you looking for a new home?  Need a lot of space?  Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms?  Outdoor living spaces?  Private beach?  Would you consider bidding on it in an auction? Well, if you are still with me, I just may have a deal for you!  Miami Heat forward, Mike Miller is trying to unload his home in Hillsboro Shores, an upscale beach neighborhood just north of Fort Lauderdale.

The property is simply spectacular– three stories and has 6 bedrooms, 8 full and 2 half baths. There is approximately 9,000 sq. ft. of interior space and 2,700 sq. ft. of finished outdoor space.  Guests are greeted by 12-foot mahogany doors that open to reveal a soaring, 2-story foyer with French marble floors and patterned inlays.  Features include 2 gourmet kitchens (with Wolf and SubZero appliances), a home theater/media room, game parlor, ventilated and climate-controlled wine/cigar room, game parlor, custom wet bar, elevator, state of the art audio/video system, and more.

The feature list does not end inside. Outdoors, there is plenty of room to relax with large terraces on the second and third stories and a covered patio lounge on the lower living level.  The pool is certainly not of the everyday variety: it boasts underwater bar stools (and a bar table) for patrons of its swim-up bar and grill. The swim-up bar is uniquely positioned beneath the upper floors of the property, allowing a respite from the sunshine. Special glass panels inserted into the floor of the living room on the second level provide for a clever “bird’s eye view” of the pool bar below. (These panels can be covered for privacy at the press of a button on the home’s video system). There is also a hot tub, designer “fire pit,” an entertainment lounge with dual waterfalls, large plasma TV and a second summer kitchen. The property’s  private marble dock includes two boat lifts and hidden stairs to a “private beach.”

While the property once sold for $12 million and was recently listed for $9 million, it will be auctioned to the highest bidder on February 25th.  For more information about the sale, contact Platinum Luxury Auctions.  To see more of the home, click here for a slideshow.
