Microsoft opened a new Aventura Mall store a few weeks ago. The celebration included a free Macklemore & Ryan Lewis concert for select Grand Opening attendees. Now, they have announced some very cool youth summer camp courses for that store. If you have kids in your life between the ages 8-13 OR in High School, Microsoft is willing to teach them things like coding and design, photography, and film making. Best part of the deal? FREE! The camps are part of YouthSpark, a global initiative that aims to create opportunities for 300 million youth over three years in local communities by helping educate future young leaders in the science, technology and engineering industries.
YouthSpark Summer Camps feature different courses for Junior Designers (ages 8-10) and Designers (ages 11-13):
Courses include game coding, game designing, movie making and photography.
Each store will host the four day camps for ten weeks between June 2 and August 29.

Also, DigiGirlz, gives high school girls the opportunity to learn about careers in technology. There are two programs this summer:
A one-day event at Microsoft stores nationwide that provides girls with an understanding of what a career in technology is all about.
A multi-day High Tech camp that gives girls an in-depth look at careers in technology while participating in hands-on computer and technology workshops.
