Mom Bloggers for Social Good

women

Right at the end of December, I got an email blurb from Jennifer James about a new project that she was launching.  I read it with interest, as I do any email from Jennifer.  You see, she’s a ROCK STAR.  A blogger since 2004, she founded the Mom Bloggers Club in 2007.  It’s now 15,000 members strong and is a place where mothers who blog can turn to for resources and support.  She is also the editor of Mom Blog Magazine, where she curates items of interest. And, she was  one of 10 Social Media Moms named to the One.org Mom Advisory Council.  Among other things, she ventured to Kenya with One to see how USAID is working for African communities in need.

Jennifer has ALWAYS been a huge supporter of me and my blog.  She has featured several of my blogging escapades in Mom Bloggers Magazine.  So, I was very interested in this new project.  It’s called Mom Bloggers for Social Good–a global volunteer coalition of mothers who care about important issues like maternal health, women and girls, and labor rights and want to use their blogging and social media platforms to spread the word about the good work organizations are doing around the world.

I IMMEDIATELY emailed Jennifer to say that I was in.  The sight launched a few days ago, and I’m proud to say that I am one of 400 founding members.  Here’s how it will work–

I look forward to bringing you news from Mom Bloggers for Social Good.  Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news.

Jennifer, THANKS for having me!
