My Newest Obsession: Sweet Potato popchips

patrick dempsy sweet potato

More than a year ago, popchips Miami started following me on Twitter.  At that time, I had never even heard of popchips , but I did enjoy tweeting with whoever was behind the Twitter account.  After a few months, I learned that the person behind the account was a woman, named Sara.  She invited me to Starbucks one day, and a dynamic friendship was born.

I remember everything about that day.  I remember exactly which Starbucks, which table–I remember it all.  The best thing about it was just connecting with Sara.  I felt like I had known her for years.  We finished each other’s sentences.  We giggled at the same things.  We were fast friends.  The other thing that stands out?  When we headed out of Starbucks, she piled BOXES of popchips into my car.  Every flavor.  BOXES.

And I ate them.  BOXES.  Over the past year, I’ve gotten together with Sara several times.  And it’s always the same.  We pick right up where we left off.  And she always has PopChips for me.  BOXES.

Well, a couple weeks ago, she emailed me to announce a new flavor–Sweet Potato. YES, PLEASE!  We set up a meeting and chatted non-stop for more than an hour.  And when we left?  BOXES.

I had other errands to run and actually forgot about the chips until I got home.  But, my husband knew I was meeting Sara and was waiting impatiently for the chips.  He opened a bag and proclaimed them, “Good.”  I tried them and thought they were much better than good.  Turns out, so did he, as evidenced by him eating them 2 bags at a time.  I love that they are not too sweet and come in a perfectly calorie proportioned bag.  LOVE THEM.

Between the two of us, we’ve eaten EVERY single bag of the Sweet Potato popchips in the BOXES.  Every. Single. One.  But what’s not to love?  They are  a healthier, all-natural snack option as they are made with real sweet potatoes and other wholesome grains.  They aren’t fried, or baked, and there are no trans fats, cholesterol, fake colors and flavors that give snacking a bad name.

I actually liked popchips, but I LOVE sweet popchips.  Get some.  NOW.  Click here to see where they are sold in your area.
