Suitcase Secrets: What About My Dirty Laundry?

Disclosure:  I was provided a product sample to facilitate this review.  All opinions are my own.

So, you’ve planned a FAB trip!  If you’re like me, you have a daily itinerary already planned out and all you need to do is pack your suitcase.  That’s always the hard part, because you definitely don’t want to forget something essential.  Nothing worse than forgetting your favorite shower gel and having to buy a replacement in some random hotel gift shop.  CHA-CHING!  You’re almost guaranteed to pay at least double the going rate.

Being a frequent traveler, I usually rely on a list that I keep in Evernote.  I use this program, because I can access it from multiple sources–my phone, my tablet, my computer, etc.–if I need to add things.  It’s a pretty simple list but includes EVERYTHING that I need to pack, even some “no brainer” items like my camera, my phone charger, and my wallet.  Don’t ask–I learned the hard way.

One of the things that many travelers seem to overlook is a laundry bag.  How do you keep dirty and clean clothes separated?  For this, I LOVE the Reisenthel Travel Laundry Bag.  It comes in a tiny little travel case with a clip, so it’s a breeze to toss into your luggage.  But, after that first day, when you start accumulating dirty laundry, you just open it up and start stuffing things in.

When I get home and start to do the laundry, I just open the drawstring and dump it all into the washing machine.  In fact, I dump the bag in to–so that it’s fresh for the next trip.  Simple, huh?  Oh, and did I mention that it’s less than 5 bucks from the Container Store?  WOOT!

*Super Secret*  If you don’t have a laundry bag like I do, you can usually find a plastic bag hanging in the closet of most upscale hotels.

What do you do with your laundry when traveling?  How do you transport it home?
