One of the best ways to support me and my Ovarian Cancer journey is to support those organizations that work on the disease’s platforms of awareness, funding, and legislation. An easy way for fashionistas to get in the fight is to support Super Saturday! And this year, it’s happening in Vegas, Baby!
Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) will bring their popular Super Saturday shopping event to The Venetian, The Palazzo and Grand Canal Shoppes Las Vegas. The annual event, which New York Newsday called the ‘hottest summer event in the Hamptons,’ will launch in Vegas Sept. 18- 20, 2015.
The exclusive Las Vegas weekend will boast an assortment of special retail incentives and activities from a variety of the 160-plus luxury brands and dining establishments. The three-day extravaganza will showcase signature shopping experiences and packages including one-on-one styling appointments guided by A-list celebrities, an insider’s guide to fall fashion showcasing the best of the best in the industry, VIP cocktail receptions, lipstick readings, star-studded culinary delights, and much more.
“We are thrilled to bring OCRF’s Super Saturday to the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and Palazzo Las Vegas. Their support of OCRF’s research programs will further propel us in our fight to find a cure for ovarian cancer,” says Audra Moran, President & CEO, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
“Vegas is the ultimate fashion destination. It’s the only place in the world where you can shop every top designer and brand in one central location,” says Janet LaFevre, Senior Marketing Manager Grand Canal Shoppes and Fashion Show. “Being able to bring Super Saturday to Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Palazzo gives our guests a chance to enjoy incredible shopping, dining, and entertainment all while contributing to a significant cause. We are elated to announce this partnership and first-ever Vegas location.”
OCRF’s Super Saturday is a designer shopping extravaganza held annually in the Hamptons, Los Angeles, and now Las Vegas. In 2014, more than 2,000 people attended Super Saturday events in LA and New York. Special guests included celebrities, influencers, designers, media, supporters and their families, and fashion lovers. The Hamptons event has been hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan while the LA event was hosted by Rachel Zoe, Rodger Berman, Molly Sims and Scott Stuber.
Past Super Saturday participants have included Versace, Rolls-Royce, Valentino, Diane von Furstenberg, Tesla, Theory, Alice + Olivia, Helmut Lang, Ralph Lauren, rag & bone, Vince, and Kate Spade.
Ovarian Cancer Research Fund is the largest and oldest U.S. charity funding research on ovarian cancer. All of the proceeds from Super Saturday sales go toward funding OCRF’s programs, including vital ovarian cancer research by the nation’s top scientists as they seek to end this terrible disease.
