Taste of Summer at Tantalize Miami

Just when you thought summer couldn’t get any hotter in Miami, Lee Brian Schrager, one of the nation’s preeminent event planners and the mastermind behind the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE, and Gilt City, the online shopping destination offering its members access to exclusive local experiences at insider prices, will host this season’s most exclusive and unforgettable dining event on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Tantalize Miami. For one night only, guests will be able to reserve a seat and share an evening with one of South Florida’s most influential culinary experts and a driving force of our city’s ever-evolving foodscape.

Here’s the skinny–I’ve actually been to Tantalize.  I was able to preview the spot right before they opened.  There is NOTHING like it in Miami, or anywhere else that I’ve been.  It is South Florida’s most unique and sensual dining destination and event space!  It takes guests on an epic and seductive gastronomical exploration with an expertly curated selection of exquisitely whimsical and perfectly prepared dishes that showcase international flavors with a Pan Latin influence. The South Beach space includes a two-story restaurant (seating up to 150 guests) and two private dining rooms: the “State Room” (for up to 20 guests) and the “Crystal Chandelier Room” (for up to 60 guests). The decor?  Stunning.  The food?  Amazing.  The entertainment?  Top notch.  But let’s get back to this one of a kind event…

Pulpo Taco

A privileged few will be able to enjoy an exclusive meet and greet with Mr. Schrager during the cocktail hour from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by a five-course tasting menu featuring culinary creations by renowned Executive Chef Horacio Rivadero. The dishes chosen for this occasion feature “Tacos de Pulpo” in a delicate pomegranate barbecue sauce with pickled fresno peppers, and “Wagyu Sirloin Beef Tartare” among the options of Butler-passed hors d’oeuvres. Main courses include “Lamb Foie Gras Meatballs” with horseradish, scallions, baby sweet cornichons and crispy shallots, and a “Filet Mignon Churrasco” in a chimichurri demi glace, accompanied by heirloom tomato escabeche and a yuca pastel. The evening’s culinary flight of fancy ends with a decadent “Mini Duo Dessert” consisting of Quinoa Coconut Pudding and Flan de Chocolate.  So again, I’ve tasted this food, folks!  And you know that I don’t mess around when it comes to the NomNom!   I actually tasted the Tacos de Pulpo.  The pomegranate bbq sauce was out of this world.  The Lamb Foie Gras Meatballs were fantastic.  The Filet Mignon Churrasco was perfect!

As an honored diner for this particular event, you will be able to experience the inventive and delectable menu inside Tantalize Miami’s sumptuous and visually stunning world of damask patterns, sparkling chandeliers, oversized mirrors and rich hues of gold, deep red and jet black. Ornate baroque furnishings, plush banquettes with gold framing and soft textured fabrics create a sensuous atmosphere to complement the irresistible cuisine and Tantalize Miami’s signature alluring entertainment.

Pricing for the dinner is $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Space is limited. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking here.

I’m checking my schedule now.  I plan to be there!
