My Dad and I vacation every year together. Is it challenging? Yes. Is it stressful? Yes. Is it wayyy too much togetherness? Yes. But, is it worth it? YES!
This year, we spent a week at Moon Place Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico. We had a FABULOUS time! While I had been there before, it was his first visit. I had worried that he wouldn’t enjoy himself, but it was all for naught. He is already talking about going back! Even the weather was perfect–not a drop of rain the whole time that we were there. #WINNING!
We stayed in the elegant Grand section of the resort. One of the amenities offered is a Pillow Menu. I tried a new pillow every single night–with my favorite ending up being a tossup between the Lavender Mint and the Chamomile. There’s an aromatherapy menu, as well!
I think one of Dad’s favorite things about Moon Palace was the food. We had some AMAZING meals! He enjoyed the Brazilian Steakhouse where they just kept bringing meat on skewers. He also loved MOMO, the Asian spot. Check out some of our meals!
We were also entertained the entire time that we were there. We saw fantastic shows every night, including a FABULOUS Michael Jackson revue. We were even serenaded at one night’s dinner by a violinist!
We also took in the sights. How beautiful is this?
Wait, did I mention that Moon Palace is an ALL inclusive resort? That means that all of our meals and activities were included in the room rate. Also, because it’s only about 10 minutes from the airport, you don’t lose a day in travel. With an evening flight to return home, we were able to enjoy most of the day before having to leave to make the plane. I was even able to grab this picture from the plane home. ALL of that is Moon Palace–isn’t it HUGE?
Finally, I simply can NOT mention Moon Palace and how grand of a time we had without mentioning AND thanking my personal concierge, Karen. She was amazing–making restaurant reservations and personal transportation arrangements for us. She ROCKS!
I had the best time at Moon Palace with my DAD. Thanks for the memories!
