I hate cancer. I actually hated it LONG before my own diagnosis, but now I totally despise it. NOTHING makes me happier than hearing the plans of those who want to find a cure. To that end, Chico’s has just announced the launch of this limited-edition scarf. The scarf is designed by a chick that I have long admired, artist and entrepreneur Sheila Johnson. It supports Stand Up To Cancer, a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Funds raised during this initiative will help accelerate SU2C’s innovative cancer research to get new therapies to patients quickly, and saves lives now.
By the way, earlier this year, SU2C announced the formation of the Ovarian Cancer Dream Team. They put together teams, consisting of the beast and the brightest of researchers and fund them. THIS is how cures are found. Anyhow, I digress..
During the campaign, Chico’s will offer the limited-edition scarf, designed by Johnson. This $50 scarf will be sold at Chico’s boutiques across the US and Canada, as well as online. Chico’s will donate $10 to Stand Up To Cancer (up to $100,000) for every scarf purchased from now through October 31st.
I absolutely LOVE this scarf. I could TOTALLY rock this out. My birthday is in 2 weeks. I’m just saying…
