The Temps Are Dropping–Lather Up!

20150217_155707

Yes, Miami–the COLD is coming. Yesterday’s highs were in the 80s, but tonight’s lows will dip into the 40s. BRRRRRRR! When these cold waves hit, most of us know how to care for our pets, plants, and homes, we sometimes neglect our own bodies, skin in particular. Cold weather causes our skin to become dry, chapped and irritated. You can combat all of this with NEW Vaseline Intensive Care Healing Serums.

Last week (right after the last blast of cold air), I got a box of the Serums, along with some tasty baked treats. How cool is this?

This new line is unlike anything Vaseline has done before. This is their first ever moisturizing body care serum and they’ve including highly concentrated healing ingredients. They should know, they’ve been healing skin for more than 140 years. This is just the latest from the long trusted brand.

So, let’s get into it. EVEN if the cold air wasn’t coming, chemotherapy has wreaked havoc on my once soft skin. So, I was VERY interested in trying the line. However, I’m very sensitive to smells, so that’s a consideration as well. I admit, I was skeptical. Could a product made for the entire body and available at mass merchants all over the country for JUST $7.99 be a option for me? Not likely, I thought.

I was wrong. I WAS WRONG. Though I absolutely ADORED all 3 of the variants:

  • Advanced Relief: Moisturizes to heal and calm severely dry skin
  • Radiance Restore: Moisturizes to heal and restore dry, dull skin
  • Deep Repair: Deeply moisturizes to heal rough, cracked skin,

I think the Deep Repair worked best for me. I love how thick it is–after all, it provides dry skin with 10x the healing power. I also loved the smell. It smells CLEAN. And, being halfway through chemo treatments, my skin DEFINITELY is need of healing.

I’ll be recommending this to my fellow Survivors, as well as my South Florida neighbors–Bundle up!
