A few weeks back, I was invited to the new V°73 boutique in the Design District. It’s the Italian purse brand’s first boutique in the United States. The collection is actually quite impressive and surprisingly affordable. It’s the work of Elisabetta Armellin, who was gets design inspiration from Venice and was born in 1973–get it, V73? Elisabetta had her own design studio by the time she was 20 and worked with companies like Benetton and Guess. In 2011, she launched V°73 and the rest is history. A few months ago, Elisabetta was here for a FABULOUS launch party, but of course chemo and I were having our own party. I will DEFINITELY meet her the next time she crosses the pond.
The Miami boutique is absolutely charming, with purses on display like fine works of art. The SS14 collection is EVERYTHING. The tagline for it is, “Fill me with life.” And, trust me, I have already filled mine with my life. There are receipts, chargers, candy, lip glosses, etc all packed in there. I LOVE IT.
My favorite is the Miami bag–it comes in 2 sizes and commemorates the opening of the Flagship boutique. It has Elisabetta’s signature allover print and has the Miami boutique’s address on the front. Ain’t she cute?
So, if you’re looking for a purse that is brand new to the States and one that the masses haven’t acquired yet, check out some of these beauties! By all means, run by the boutique at 4218 NE 2nd Avenue.
Disclosure: I was an invited guest at this V°73 press event. In addition to getting the wonderful story behind this brand, I was gifted one of their FAB products. All opinions are my own.
